Can you show anything else that comes out of the log please? What kind of Mac do you have?Check the 'View' menu at the top of the screen for all the different windows

As well as use scrypt you need to check enable GPU mining - that will be checked by default in the next versionYou might want to check out the cpuminer window too for CPU mining

Ah that explains things - if you can upgrade your Mac to a newer version than 10.6 the newer the better, otherwise stick with that version of MacMiner or download 1.5.1 and run it at the command line if you need newer backends

At 5Gh/s you'd find a payout share on average every 4 days so you should receive 1-6 payouts every 1-8 days depending on luck

hmm, I didn't think this should still be happening with 1.5.1 - or are you using the 10.6 version?The problem will fix itself if you move MacMiner to the Applications folder

There are two primary hashing algorithms, SHA-256 which Bitcoin uses and Scrypt which Litecoin and Fastcoin use. You can't use ASIC devices to mine scrypt currencies, that's why this isn't working!

If they're both crashing I'd go with the latest version - I'm not sure what's causing the crash for you but to totally reset it you can delete/Users/admin/Library/Preferences/com.fabulouspanda.macminer.plist
