That's peculiar! To have used BFL with the exBFG window you'd have had to have had -S bfl:all or similar in the settings on that window, there shouldn't have been any change which would stop you using that window as before with it except having to s…
Disregarding DogeCoin, I think coin concept is very important to long term success. I figure the problem with the wallet is probably an overlooked mac issue, though I haven't tried it myself.
The new GPU Miner window is the same BFG window that's been modified - they both use the same config files to find a pool, but there's a new setting in the GPU miner setting panel for choosing which coin to mine which is the main difference. I suspe…
The MaxCoin version of cgminer must be buggy, it is new, I'll bring it up on github - does the miner appear to keep mining or does it actually stop (best indicated by whether the button says start or stop and whether logs keep printing)
A lot of currencies look as though they could do with a bunch more work, I think though you have to keep in mind that they're launched on a protocol ideal, and whether they really take off depends whether people dig the tech changes behind the curre…
I wasn't sure about the moving banner, so I've stuck it in place now. I hadn't noticed that resize bug, I'll get to the bottom of that too! I might switch up the editor as it's not great.
I don't see your LTC address anywhere, is your cpu miner settings panel set up for Litecoin? Do you get any weird output from the miner when it starts?
5GH is a bit too slow for P2Pool nodes really, it gets very much like gambli…
I think I've found this is a bug where when you open MacMiner it doesn't remember which coin you were mining until you go in to the miner settings panel when it loads, does that sound about right? I'm working on getting to a stable version right now!
unable to find a config file is usually a problem where the pool hasn't been set up yet - it's in the preferences under MacMiner menu in the latest version
I'm investigating it failing to launch a second time with the latest ver…
woah! What are you GPU mining? There are several different backends for the recently renamed GPU Miner window and some of them are rather new and admittedly not up to the standard of the bfgminer it uses for SHA256 and Scrypt mining.
I totally understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry for the bugs and confusion caused by the update! The forum is due for a rejigger of the css so I'll take your advice on readability there, as well as your points on the app side of things.<…
You've got it! You're right about CPU miner too, it uses how long it takes for accepted shares to judge the hash rate so it can't update before then beyond the 'Starting…' label
You can use the CPU and GPU for mining at the same…
Sorry about that, We're in the middle of a big change right now! It should pick up your old settings just not in the Preferences window but I'll make sure to hook all that up.
it's the same explanation really, blocks are on average every 2 minutes but it's a game of luck solving a block which is what pools and solo miners are trying to do. If the average ends up higher or lower than 2mins/block the difficulty adjusts to b…
That's really interesting, how to you find out that was what had happened? checking /dev ? This could be very useful for troubleshooting other people using Fury miners!
Try FPGA/ASIC window or CG window depending which you've already been trying - also open Activity Monitor and make sure there are no spare cgminer or bfgminer processes running please
