Please open Activity Monitor and see whether there's more than one cgminer process - if so force quit them - it's likely to still be running, from the last time around. What version was that you were using before? MacMiner tries to stop you from qui…
The Single is the loudest miner I know of, with the case on it has holes on the front a bit like a Mac Pro which make this awful shrill acoustic which is much reduced by removing the case, but…
I've been running a 60GH 'Single' unit for months now and it gets almost exactly 60GH - I hear the new products are a little more capable though. It definitely works with MacMiner!
If you mean why doesn't it remember the settings for pool you previously but do not currently have set up, it just doesn't right now and that bugs me too so an update should fix that!
Hmm, probably a peculiarity because the difficulty is way too hard for CPU mining BTC, definitely switch CPU over to Litecoin, Dogecoin, VertCoin or QuarkCoin
On 10.7 and 10.8 CG is the window for ASIC and on 10.9 it's the FPGA/ASIC that's best - you can use that one if you install the drivers but there's no point unless you want MobileMiner control, your BFL should be showing up in the API output window…
Macs are slightly crippled in the GPU zone, they never run as fast as another OS would, but you can use both CPU and CPU at the same time! With scrypt mining I find the GPU really takes off at about 10 or 11 intensity (with dynamic unchecked)
No problem, I want to know what's going on here too! It should says bfgminer 3.10, then flash a blank screen for a couple of seconds before opening the TUI. Does it just hang before the the blank screen? You could try replacing the bfgminer fol…
if not working best to set it at something low like 2 just to get it working - did you add -d 0 to manual flags? Turn off debug output too or set the log length really high in preferences!
