I'm sorry, but there's just too much else that needs doing I would consider more important I don't have time for and with Yosemite coming up that's a problem that only effects a limited portion of users running a version of Mac OS 5 versions back
Ugh, that looks like the output of the linux program 'top' which just shows all the processes that are running - at the very least it seems to show that cgminer is running, but we want the logs of that to show up. Can you log in via ssh? I assume yo…
Yeah that's the P2Pool node. BTC and LTC mining are really ASIC dominated these days, but you could look in to mining some of the other coins, maybe quark coin as there are so many and it's easy to CPU mine, or dark coin.
Are you using the FP P2Pool node? I don't recommend it for slower/newer miners, as it works better when you're mining at higher speeds, and P2Pool is one of the more technical options for mining and without writing an essay any explanation I give of…
DNS for your router should be on the list… why is the router 192.168.168.168? I would have guessed 192.168.1.1 from the other settings… Also, what is the MacBook's IP? If it's .1.99 that's a problem!
If you can connect the S2 directly to the network without putting a computer between it that would be ideal. Otherwise, you need to share the internet connection from your wifi to your ethernet interface. It's all in System Preferences!
You're using a thunderbolt to ethernet connector? Is your Mac on a wifi network too? That could cause the problem. I'd try connecting to the router first off though it would simplify matters.
Dude you can't have the same IP address as the miner. Are you connecting directly to it with an ethernet cable? You should change your IP in system preferences and/or on your router first and make sure nothing else is on .99
How are you verifying that the device is showing up on the network? Does it have 192.168.1.99 displayed on the LCD? Have you tried the reset procedure in the manual here?
Thanks! It's probably not a problem with your device based on what you've posted. Sadly it looks as though it might need an update to get it working - let me have a look at the options!
yeah it's an issue with bfgminer and the rbox and unfortunately no-one is quite sure what's causing it, not even sure whether it affects all users or not. did you try the running the chmod command? The problem is to do with not getting the response …
