Why is it in a /bin/ folder in your output? It's important to leave the folder structure as it is in the download otherwise you'll have linker issues like that one. Please let me know if it works that way!
I didn't get much further than that. I tried merging in some code (see https://github.com/genesismining/sgminer-gm/issues/62) from another xmr miner project but t…
I found trying to make it work on macOS a cryptonightmare and I'd have to do a lot of learning to get it working. I managed to compile sgminer-gm but not to get the cryptonight kernel working for Macs and I just don't have time right now to figur…
That's weird. It works in MacMiner which uses the -I flag. Just to be sure, you are using a capital i and not L right? You could also try --intensity 20 (that's with two dashes, formatting makes it look like a long dash) and if you're using a .co…
Which part of the problem? If just this:
unable to open /Users/Nick/Library/Application Support/MacMiner/ltcurls.conf: No such file or directory
Did you set up a pool first?
This seems to be a fairly common problem with the trashcan Mac Pro, although it's hard to say whether that's to any extent due to the fact we're long past anyone being able to mine Bitcoin on a GPU.
Why did you use the legacy set up btw? …
According to ./sgminer --help what you've done would be the way to go, I think you're probably best off setting the intensity to 20 if that's where you want it by -I 20 flag.
What do you mean your address seems to be gone? I think it's pr…
Oh but you could try running this before sgminer at the command line to solve the first two warnings
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
Unfortunately the nicehash sgminer wasn't built with macOS in mind so it had to be patched up even to work to the extent it does - but it really needs someone to take a look at wolf-sha512.cl and get it working for Mac. You can see the pull reque…
Are you trying to open them from the 'View' menu at the top of the screen? What happens? Can you also please describe to me your setup and as precisely as possible how you ran it this time around just in case I can figure out why that happened?…
If shares are being accepted that's a key indicator. Likewise checking the pool website, although that usually takes a few minutes.
It could be an issue with the network you're on, see whether it works with stratum+tcp://litecoinp2pool.com:9327
If not I'd guess it's your network.
It's a false positive on bfgminer, this is a common problem with bitcoin miners being viewed as malware as they are sometimes included with genuine malware but are harmless used intentionally.
This seems to be an issue with the viabtc pool specifically as I have tested the cpu miner using scrypt without issue a moment ago on a p2pool node.
I suspect the problem is that it's way too hard to mine Bitcoin with a GPU these days, if you put your hash rate in to a profitability calculator you'll see it's next to nothing so the share difficulty at the pool is probably too high.
If you don't see Decred in MacMiner you need to get the new version from the download page or just use the standalone sgminer binary. I don't think ccminer has been compiled for macOS in 3-4 years so there wouldn't be a VTC/Decred version availab…
If you post more info I could probably tell you why it's not working, or you could pay for a team viewer lesson in mining but don't expect to make any money out of cpu mining!
Does it end up accepting shares? Those notifications usually aren't anything to worry about. Sometimes the mismatched block contents is a sign of problems related to unexpected share difficulty at the pool but if it's working normally it can be i…
The Lyra2REv2 miner is very unstable, the VTC team are trying to find someone able to improve it but not having much luck. I'd switch to another coin if I were you… you're getting 100% HW with no accepted shares. I tested and it works fine with D…
The text user interface allows you to change the intensity which is the main influence on hash rate, so either change it there or add the argument -I 11 (that's the letter I not the number 1) when you start the miner. The range of intensity can b…
I had to give up to find the answer as usual. I solved this problem 2 years ago with a different kernel and it wasn't merged in to the new ones! You can now GPU mine Vertcoin using this command line executable I will add to MacMiner in the near f…
I'll come back here and let you know if I get it working, but I got past the compiler problem and found a couple of the kernels for the algorithm need updating to work for Mac and that's probably something I'd need to find someone else willing an…
Whoops sorry I forgot they kept changing the algorithm for VTC and to mine it SGMiner is the recommended tool, which doesn't typically play nice with macOS. I had a go at compiling it and got past a few issues but it seems as though my clang is a…
