Getting Zeusminer Blizzard Scrypt ASICS To Work With MacMiner

  • the 'minerid' string was just my wildcard for whatever your miner's ID is :S

worth nothing the s in -S must always be capitalised

    also worth trying just

    -S all
  • edited June 2014
sweet as will try that, that might have been my problem, not using capitals.  I just used small case on the windows version with no problems so didn't realise it had to be capital
  • The latest version of MacMiner adds support with bfgminer :)

I had a play, I found you have to manually put the -s zus:/dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART code in to find your miner

Not sure about multiple miners. but ls -l /dev/cu.* should show you
or possibly -S zus:all based on the bfgminer code
  • -S zus:all doesn't work so you will have to use the -S for each device. device 2 should be something like -S zus:/dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART2
  • have you tried -S zeusminer:all? the driver was written as zeusminer and I suspect it's that rather than 'zeus'
  • Oh wait did you edit that first post? ;) so it's definitely 'zus'?
  • yes, definitely 'zus' lowercase.

Note: even though I have --force-device-init, the zus doesn't seem to restart unless I set --hotplug 30 - the zeus seems to take a while to reinitialize after MacMiner does it's automatic restart thingy.

  • Hi
I got I just do not know anymore and he can advise thank you
    tatialdis-air:~ tatialdi$ ls -l /dev/cu.*
    crw-rw-rw-  1 root  wheel   19,   3  3 čvc 02:16 /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port
    crw-rw-rw-  1 root  wheel   19,   5  3 čvc 02:16 /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Modem
    crw-rw-rw-  1 root  wheel   19,   1  3 čvc 02:16 /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART
    -bash: /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART: Permission denied
I amater makes it a week and still nothing you do?? nas I think it's more what you can not do without help
    Thank you in advance
  • put this in the ASIC Miner window preferences panel, manual flags:

    -S zus:/dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART

Then start the miner and you should be all set up!
  • I could not find where to write!

    you can be more specific
    thanks
  • Where can I find a window panel ASIC miner?
I apologize but I am a beginner must detail
    thanks

MacMiner - View menu - FPGA/ASIC Device window - click the little cog/sprocket button - there's a bit that says manual flags
  • tatialdis-MacBook-Air:~ tatialdi$ ls -l /dev/cu.*

  • Did you put
    -S zus:/dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART
    in manual flags?
  • in FPGA/ASIC window don't bother cgminer window it doesn't support zeusminer
  • / FPGA / ASIC is a blank window showed nothing
I entered everything as you said and still nothing
Thanks for your time I hope to manage to start today

  • tatialdi, to resolve the unable to open /Users/tatialdi/Library/Application Support/MacMiner/bfgurls.conf: No such file or directory issue, just navigate to that directory and create that file with the same content as the other .conf file there. That worked for me.

However, I have still not been able to get this miner to be recognized. I've tried -S zus:/dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART in manual flags, any other ideas? Any help would be appreciated. The output I'm seeing is:

    20s:  0.0 avg:  0.0 u:  0.0  h/s | A:0 R:0+0(none) HW:0/none

    20s:  0.0 avg:  0.0 u:  0.0  h/s | A:0 R:0+0(none) HW:0/none

    20s:  0.0 avg:  0.0 u:  0.0  h/s | A:0 R:0+0(none) HW:0/none

  • Try these flags:

    -d zus -S zus:/dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART --force-dev-init

    as posted by Paul
  • No luck same message. I'll keep working on it, if you have any other suggestions please let me know.
  • when you run ls -l /dev/cu* does it show up there? Got the silabs driver installed?

might try adding --hotplug 30 to the manual flags
  • Still nothing about it fails to run

  • Try

    -S zus:all

it's definitely working for other people - unfortunately i don't have a device to test
  • or
    -S noauto -S zus:all

    That might help
