Lite Coin Mining

I'm just starting out as a Lite Coin miner, using macbook 10.6.8. I'm a currently running BFG miner 1.4  at an average of 4 Kh/s. I am not sure how to tell if the miner is actually functioning properly. It says that I am finding blocks, yet I'm frequently getting the message "stratum pool 0 requested work update". Is there any indicator as to when the program is working properly?

Looks as though it's working, just very slowly - what mac are you using? The default intensity it set quite low so as not to stress Mac hardware, if you don't mind doing that you should put it up in miner settings
