MacMiner and Shutting down the app on schedule

The app works very well and overall have been pleased with its performance. I had a question about running it and having the Mac auto-shutdown. The app will not allow the Mac to shutdown while it is still running, without first stopping the app from hashing. If I wanted to leave it running, but not all night, is there a way to shutdown unattended?

Good point, I can't think of anything offhand, unless there's a way to have cmd-S press with the relevant miner window in focus first. I guess this belongs in feature requests!

A dodgy workaround would be to force quit MacMiner manually which would leave the backend miners still running hopefully till shut down
