Help with grid seed setup macminer and cgminer or bfgminer

hello

i am new to mining with asics like grid seed.

my grid seed arrived to day and i don't get it to work.

i have tried everything but i will not work.

can someone please help me to get my grid seed to work?

macminer doesn't regonize my grid seed and cgminer and bfgminer i get the message "no devices found"

Did you get it set up with the CPU Miner window and you specifically want to use cg or bfg instead?

CPU Miner flags should be like

--freq=800 -G /dev/cu.usbmodem142431

with your devices path

i can't see my grid seed in de finder menu.

i have markt devices in the preference menu in finder.

open Terminal and type 

ls -l /dev/cu.*

then press enter and it'll show you your devices

i found my grid seed now, but when i put --freq=800 -G, macminer say "unrecognized option"?

after -G you need to put the path to your device revealed in the last step

i have done this, is it so hard to setup the grid seed on a mac?

on windows it cost me 2 minutes and the miner worked.

i use osx all the time, normally i don't use windows

I had no problem getting the MacMiner-gridseed8 to mine LTC with a 5 chip GridSeed as explained here.

Would I be better using CG or BFG?

Does MacMiner.app-1.5.19rc1 also include the GridSeed support?

I'm afraid that due to a silly call I made to start a big bit of coding just before have severe time restriction there hasn't been much progress on the app front. Please replace

MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/bfgminer

with this one:

http://downloads.fabulouspanda.co.uk/bfgminer-gridseed.zip

in whichever version you're using, and use the flag

-S all
