MacMiner Gridseed edition crashes shortly!

edited April 2014 in Support
Hi,

my 5 chip Gridseeds came and tried to get them work. I followed the instructions in the blog but can't get them mine at all. I tried first with one miner, but when I start MacMiner Gridseed version, it crashes shortly after launch. Is my Antminers the problem or what could it be? I have some Antminers in USB hub also.
I have MacMini with intel CPU , 2Gb RAM and 10.7 OS x.

Comments

  • You should use the 5 chip gridseed with the CPU miner window - if you're getting a crash on startup please try deleting

    /Users/username/Library/Application Support/MacMiner
  • Had the same issue last night. Went back to old school toss the prefs and everything was working fine. I have installed several versions of MM lately for various testing including grid seeds (w/ limited luck), so I was afraid it was prefs that were corrupted (maybe force quitting mid process). Also crash happened instantly on all MM's so not app specific.
Hope that helps if reinstalling does not.

If you want to do that, you need to view hidden files as User/Library is default hidden these days. Thanks apple…

We really need to get multiple GS solution or macs no good for farming, which is bummer.
  • workaround for view hidden:

use the 'Go' menu at the top of the screen in finder and enter the path there :)

Unfortunately we're just waiting for backend improvements for gridseed. hopefully not too long!
