Help, I can't change my mining pool . . .

Nothing I do changes the actual mining pool I'm using.
I have changed the pool address in config. but when I open the miner, it still goes to the old pool.
I have even deleted and reinstalled the xmr-stak, and when I open the miner, it diverts to the old pool.
What's happening?

I don't know - are you maybe editing a commented out section of the conf file?
