Whoops, thanks for the heads up! Fixed the link.
What sgminers are you using? Are the problems with ones downloaded from this site and where are you getting 4.1?
I've replaced vertminer with sgminer-gm in an update to MacMiner now.
Other people seem to have managed fine with no additional setup necessary

Don't put http:// in the pool config - that's the wrong protocol. Just delete that part from the pool and it should work. But yeah, I'd recommend mining something other than SHA256 as the difficulty is too hard unless you have an ASIC.
If you're just using my xmr-stak it doesn't include nvidia specific support as it requires the drivers to be installed separately, you should be able to get it working if you follow the instructions for nvidia here:
I've had a good look in to this and didn't get either of those working with scrypt-n, so I've compiled sgminer-gm and tested that which works and has shares accepted for me using the following:
./sgminer --algorithm scrypt-n --nfactor 11 …
I'm not sure whether it defaults to scrypt, I'd suggest setting it to scrypt specifically. You can also use bfgminer for scrypt if you're having trouble with sgminer.
Are you running the xmr-stak from this website? That's effectively 2.2, it was compiled from the dev branch just before it was released as 2.2
Only a 10% decrease on macOS is not bad. It'll always be slower on macOS though because it does…
A bunch of the algorithms in sgminer don't work properly on macOS, it had to be modified slightly to even compile and run for it - which are you trying to use?
I'm not sure what's up with that then. You don't need to take binaries out of the app package to run them at the command line, they're actually linked to various other libraries in the bundle so it's best to run them where they are. Could you try…
You might find the M390s worthwhile but I doubt you'll get much out of the rest unfortunately. It's also not great for an iMac to run hot for sustained periods.
Have you tried following the instructions for nvidia in this blog post?

That's very peculiar, but it might suggest an issue with the intensity you've got the miner set to. Sometimes this happens if the intensity is too high or low for the GPU but maybe ethminer running simultaneously is taking up too much of its runt…
What does the log say?
Are you running bfgminer at the command line? It depends on your specific setup, but you can try using the -d flag to specify which device(s) to use, so add the flag
-d 1
and if necessary
-S opencl:noauto
It seems something is wrong with the pool setup. You could try removing stratum+tcp:// from the pool info but if that doesn't work you'd have to check with the pool to see why it doesn't like your login info. Is there an unintended full stop at t…
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to be compiled for macOS as is.
A quick brew search seems to indicate it's had a name change from libhttpd to just httpd - I should probably update the article (I'm guessing you're following the blog post?) to pertain to xmr-stak which is the successor to the version I wrote ab…

That should work. It's probably just that you pasted in the password and there wa…
Right, but the miner window is set to mine Scrypt - it only looks for ltcurls.conf when it's set to mine scrypt - so you need to switch back to SHA256 in the miner options pane.
You're setting up pools for SHA256 but trying to mine Scrypt. MacMiner's current release doesn't support eth mining but I'm going to include ethminer for GPUs in a basic state in an update in the next few days.
I'll take a look at it when I get a chance! Have you heard any reports of whether the miner compiles alright for macOS?
Did you set up a Litecoin/scrypt pool in the preferences window? That file is created in the app support folder when you do so.
There's a newline in there:
"pass" : "1
"
You should edit the file and remove it being careful not to let any autocorrect curly quotes slip in there as you do so.
I would recommend using xmr-stak rather than xmr-stak-amd as it's newer and it takes care of more of the setup than xmr-stak-amd did. If you prefer xmr-stak-amd you should take a look at the config.txt file which includes an example GPU config th…
Ah sorry, that error means something was compiled using OS features that require a later version of macOS... I must have messed up somewhere. It's possible that the AMD version required a later OS version as I see now I only compiled xmr-stak wit…
Have you checked here for any miner stats?

It doesn't seem to be solving any shares though. I don't actually know whether it's possible to suc…
Which version of MacMiner is that, the latest release? I suppose it's possible I updated cgminer and left an old version of curl in there, but I'd have thought I'd have heard something by now…
My machines all have custom curls so they don…
Thanks! If you want a general chat/teamviewer type tutorial I'd be happy to provide that service at a rate of £25 the first 30mins and £15 every 30mins thereafter!
Otherwise, that's a fairly broad query to answer in full
