Oh I should add that CPU Miner window only works with scrypt like for Litecoin, to CPU mine BTC you need to use BFG Miner window and set cpu threads to the number you have on your machine which is probably 4 or 8
Everything is set up properly there, I think the problem is that you're CPU mining BTC and it's just too hard these days, you need to get accepted shares to show up on the site with a speed, what are the report speed, accept and reject labels saying…
That looks like it's working - you did set up your pool settings properly right? Entered LTC and BTC address I'm guessing? Litecoin is similar to Bitcoin, but transactions are supposed to be faster and there will be 4 times as many Litecoin as Bitco…
definitely not mining there - are you trying to GPU mine litecoin? If so make sure enable GPU mining and use scrypt and please post the beginning of the output where it talks about initialising devices and pools
Thanks! Let me know how it goes for you. There has been another user reporting problems with the version 1.5.5 so I think earlier versions should be OK.
Thanks for your bug report, is this happening after running normally for a random period of time and if so how long has it been between launch and crashing? Please revert to an earlier version, I'm giving the whole app a thorough once-over before th…
This is definitely a problem on both the 10.7 machine and the 10.9 machine I tested, though the 10.9 machine accumulates memory much more slowly. I didn't check 10.8 but you have that covered so hopefully Apple will assign someone to this bug if you…
P2Pool works quite differently from most pools with high difficulty shares, which means you were actually quite lucky to find a payout share in the first two days with Jalapeño speeds - If you look at one of the bitcoin mining calculators like
that's one of the backup pools that went down - if you're running 1.5.5 go to the pool settings and just click save & start again and it'll replace that dead P2Pool node with a new one the next time the miner starts!
Are you using the 10.6 version? That error will go away if you put MacMiner.app in your applications folder, but it shouldn't happen with the latest versions for 10.7+
You can use bfgminer for GPU mining and cpuminer for CPU min…
Yeah you can mine on that - the only thing is that you're likely to find it's in the same speed range as your CPU due to the Mac OS X implementation of OpenCL
click the little cog in the bfgminer window to open the miner setting…
I didn't get that email, do you know whether it's the wallet or miner source? The controversy is about whether the creators of such coins are holding back and able to GPU mine themselves - also HTC seemed to have about a dozen total miners on it whe…
share difficulty actually varies on a person to person basis so I can't say, but it would take quite a while at your speed I'm afraid! Your payouts would be spaced quite far apart, I recommend looking in to how P2Pool works and deciding whether you …
It takes about 4hr per 1Mh to find a payout share at the moment which means that on average you should get one about twice a day, it seems as though you've had particularly bad luck since starting - you should find things average out much better aft…
Only for LTC or other crypt compat coins, you can use SHA 256 coins if you set those up in LTC settings but cpu miner always takes settings from LTC setup
You'd need the HTC source code and if you had that there probably wouldn't be much point right? There's a bit of controversy about 'cpu only' coins too…
