CPU miner doesn't update API window yet as it doesn't use the same API as the others. It can take a while to show work on heavily mined coins due to high difficulty. Can you post specifically what it says about OpenCL please? It sounds like it's not…
if that's maxing the GPU and freezing things up you probably won't get any better from your GPU unfortunately. What do you have set up as the fast pool server? I haven't tested it, but it definitely works with scrypt so it's probably a setup or pool…
dtrog, your help would be hugely appreciated, I do hope this will become a community maintained project and there are actually bounties out for commits to github that get merged in to the main branch so you will be rewarded too
The best thing to do would be play with the frequency, 850 may be overheating your device, and some people have reported lower frequencies running faster. Try 750 or 800 and see how that changes things.
Still hoping this bfgminer will allow both - I just realised (sorry for being an idiot) you should have tried with the GPU window and also set it to use scrypt :S
I noticed you sunk one discussion and it showed up for me to see - I'm guessing maybe it still shows up for you as you're logged in as a moderator? Worth checking out - unfortunately I already deleted the user you flagged a post for in Up and runningComment by FabulousPandaApril 2014
Thanks for the continued reports, there will be a minor update to the beta this weekend to maintain MobileMiner support going past May and there's going to be another attempt at these issue in there :S
Nice rig! What experience have you had with that pool?
Sink should be the option for getting rid of spam. I started the moderator group without privileges I don't completely understand and haven't checked it out so let me know i…
it's still worth trying dualminer:all as it's not well documented yet - have you set it up the CPU miner way for scrypt yet? That definitely works but this is still yet to be tested.
Good point, I can't think of anything offhand, unless there's a way to have cmd-S press with the relevant miner window in focus first. I guess this belongs in feature requests!
A dodgy workaround would be to force quit MacMiner …
in the miner settings panel for CPU miner there's a top left bit that says '[all] threads' - change that to the number you want to use, at a guess I reckon you'll have 8 or 4 so maybe try setting 2 or 6?
You're right about P2Pool, unfortunately it does have imperfections but it helps keep mining open. When you mine with P2Pool it's more like solo mining than with most pools, and the payouts show up in the wallet as mining income.
no problem, let me know if you need any more help, I will keep investigating this issue, it would be great if you could let me know the newest version that works for you so I can look for changes in the code around then!
