  Did you upgrade from a previous version? Please open it while holding the Alt key down which will reset MacMiner

  Yes I came from 1518c was working okay then upgraded.

  I tried holding the ALT key which is the Option key on my keyboard but it still fails the ALT key aka Option key not working

  I have removed and reinstalled MacMiner several times even rebooted the iMAC but it still fails as if something residual is still around.

  And that's the version from right now you're holding alt/option on and it's not working? It's the same version as the last but it's only been up a couple of hours, your crash report is from the version where holding alt should reset

  It might help to open twice with the alt key if that doesn't help please delete:

  The last two are folders

  
  

  after they're deleted empty trash, shut down and start up again then run - very sorry about this!

  These files are not where you believe they are being placed by your installation. I download Macminer 1.5.18.2 I then click on MacMiner its says it was downloaded from internet do I want to open I do and it starts to open and fails like I have reported. The three files are not in the locations you told me to look.
  MacMiner never ends up in my Library area.
