Comments

  • If they're both crashing I'd go with the latest version - I'm not sure what's causing the crash for you but to totally reset it you can delete

    /Users/admin/Library/Preferences/com.fabulouspanda.macminer.plist

    and

    /Users/admin/Library/Application Support/MacMiner

Is the version your using in the Applications folder named MacMiner.app? I'm not aware of any bugs caused by it not being that but if there is something clashing there I should try to find out!
  • Oh and more of the crash log would be great thanks!
  • Yuppers:  MacMiner.app
Scrubbed and it (1.4.25) works a treat.
1.5.1 however - crashes and burns...

  • Would you mind testing to see which of those files being deleted allows it to run again? And post the full crash log please
  • 1.4.25 crashed again... - as does 1.5.1

  • removing /Users/admin/Library/Application Support/MacMiner
lets it run again... but for how long?   :)
  • Is this a crash that happened randomly after three days of use and then prevented you reopening the app without deleting the app support files? Can you let me know what fields in MacMiner you've set please? Also please upgrade to 1.5.2 as the problem is not version specific.

I'll go over all the string scanning code and see if I can find out what going on there. Thanks for the continued reports!

  • OK I'll look in to whether the quota set up of pools could be causing this, thanks! How's the load balancing working out by the way, I've heard it's quite buggy?
  • I'm hoping 1.5.3 will end this trouble for you, it deals with the case that pools are set with quota rather than url - please let me know!
