Config Question - Reduce CPU Load?

  Hey, what version of Mac OS are you running? Definitely make sure whichever version it is it's up to date. I know someone else fixed this problem by running a system update. I don't experience this issue though… have you set it up at all?

  I'm running Mac OS 10.9.2 and MacMiner version 1.5.18e

  
  

  I just started this yesterday so it's all new to me. Any pointers would be great It's working, just I wanted it to to not be so consumptive resource wise.

  So I'm told it's because it appears to be using all of my cores by default. I saw no obvious way to change this, is there?

  So I found a ltcurls.conf file is this where parameters would be loaded for reducing the number of cores used by MacMiner?

  it will use all your cores by default if you start the CPU miner or you start the GPU miner without a suitable GPU - did you start anything?

  
  

  In the CPU Miner settings panel you can set the number of threads to use

  Yes I started it and it was processing. So would this be a manual flag under the CPU Miner Options? If so how do I go about setting it?

  in the miner settings panel for CPU miner there's a top left bit that says '[all] threads' - change that to the number you want to use, at a guess I reckon you'll have 8 or 4 so maybe try setting 2 or 6?

  Are you using your own P2Pool node? (127.0.0.1) - is that definitely working?
