I am waiting for my gridseed to come in the mail and have the gridseed version of macminer installed. What window do I need to use when mining only for litecoin with the gridseed?
The 5 chip device is cool because you don't have to worry about drivers or anything like that. Just set up a Litecoin pool and use the CPU Miner window with manual flags
--freq=800 -G /dev/cu.usbmodem142431
where /dev.... is the path to your device
Unfortunately you have to run one instance for each device though which requires either duplicating MacMiner or running at the terminal using the bundled binary
I haven't managed to get BTC mining working yet though. I don't have one so I'm just working from feedback!
Awesome I'll try that out. I'm kind of new to all this so the device path is where the miner will be labeled under in finder when it's connected or how do I determine what to put instead of dev. Thanks
wich miner window are using and how have to set it up - do other things like GPU minig work? looks as though maybe changing https to http in the pool url might help
i was getting this in terminal "/dev/tty.usbmodem1d11"
I changed the tty. to cu. and got it working this way
I was also wondering what i can do to get grid seed 8 to work and if that will show my speed in the window. I was using the flag you previously requested and it was not working
they show up at tty and cu but you always want to use the cu path
The only notable change for gridseed in 8 is that the GPU window should work for LTC dual miner usage and the ASIC window for BTC - this is untested however...
Just got my single Gridseed 5 chip working on my iMac. Took me 2 days to sort through all the instructions with trial and error to get it hashing. That and a reinstall of Mavericks due to continued error on boot of MacMiner. Thanks for your help. Also wanted to report that my Kh meter on the CPU Miner window is showing 0.00 KH, but coins are accruing.
Hi. I have 1 gridseed working perfectly on my MacPro. Can you explain how to get more than one hashing on the same MacPro at once? (I am only scrypt mining). THANKS!
