CPU Miner working fine, GPU Miner producing 0.0 Gh. Mac Pro with Radeon HD 4870

edited February 2014 in Support
I'm mining on a Mac Pro with a Radeon HD 4870.  I'm running OSX 10.6.8 and using the MacMiner download meant for OSX 10.6.  The CPU Miner is working great and sending work to my pool.  The GPU miner isn't producing any work.  The log is below.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

  • I'm afraid it seems GPU mining is impossible on 10.6, sorry about that!
  • Ouch.  Ok, thanks.  Looks like I'm going to be dragged kicking and screaming into Mavericks sooner or later.  :)
  • Im getting this with OSX 10.9

It worked for an hour then it just stopped mining, i was able to solve 12 shares then this, help?
  • That GPU is very fussy and only just capable of GPU mining - chances are it's overheated! Should work again once it cools down. You might want to google smcfancontrol or something similar to rev up the fans too.
  • Sweet thanks, ill give it a try.
