Difference between Quark Wallet and MacMiner?

I started mining for Quarkcoins on my Mac. I'm using Quark Wallet form www.qrk.cc and wanted to know if MacMiner is any different then what I'm using.

MacMiner is not a wallet it's a miner while Quark Wallet is as its name indicates a wallet. You can definitely use MacMiner to mine Quarkcoins, but also Bitcoins, Maxcoins, Dogecoins, Litecoins etc etc.

I'm pretty sure the CPU Miner in MacMiner is a lot faster than the miner in the wallet too, although I haven't verified that!

Quark Wallet doesn't have a miner. Maxcoin does though.

@polanskiman, You can mine from the debug console in Quark Wallet.

If I want to use MacMiner, is there away to link it to Quark Wallet or do I even need it then?

You need to use a pool with MacMiner and the rewards would go to your account there, usually with automatic payout threshold to your wallet
