Hi all.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" late 2016 and want to mine using an eGPU (GeForce GTX970) attached to it via an Akitio Thunder 2.
I have followed the tutorial (http://macminer.fabulouspanda.com/blog/index.php?post/2018/01/28/How-to-mine-Scrypt-Adaptive-N-on-macOS-(Garlicoin-GRLC-and-others)) and everything seemed to work. However I am getting a very low Hashrate of 1.75 KH/s. This surprises me since according to http://dracoix.io/garlic/ my GPU should produce about 250 KH/s.
I then downloaded the compiled sgminer-gm from fabulouspanda and run following command:
"./sgminer --algorithm scrypt-n --nfactor 11 -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.garlicpool.org:3333 -u jarikut.GeForceGTX970 -p x -I 9 -d 2"
The Hashrate increased to 11.6 KH/s which is better but still pretty far away from anything with three digits.

Also the algorithm scrypt-n seems to not exist since it switches to ckolivas instead?

Here is the output of the Terminal after I quit mining:

There is simply a "space" too much which does the GPU Miner not understand - so easiy and fast: just delete the 1 empty space directly behind the set password in the config file. thats it. ;-)

hi,
i have been mining almost for two days now, using your awesome macminer tool and ur instructions on keccak, it has a speed of 415 mh in average. i have a mac pro 2014 mid and an external gpu radeon 580rx 8gb attached to it. after two days of mining and also trying other currencies on mac miner,i find that the only currency that i can mine is keccak, is there any other currencies and updates on mining, we need to get enlighten.on the other hand, i start to do search on vertcoin lyra2rev2 because in nicehash algorithm statistics it pays 6.2561
BTC/TH/day compare to keccak which pays 0.1456
BTC/TH/day. can you please share the latest update for how to set up mac to mine lyra2rev2?
i mean if there is a better option out there why not consider the best outcome...
if we can mine lyra2rev2 on mac with external gpu,is my btc wallet adress will be accessible. if not where can we get compatible online wallet or something similar, i dont want to use my space on my harddisk and loose time on synchronizing

Thank you for your great work!

Unfortunately, I've begun to run into a problem. I began successfully using MacMiner on my iMac with an AMD card last night but after changing coins, i'm no longer able to achieve any mining whatsoever. Here is a snippet from my log:

I have double checked the pool address and that it's up and running and entered my wallet address but I can't get the thing to start. Not sure what it could be hung up on. This is a Cryptonight/XMR pool and I'm running on a MacBook Pro Mid 2015, OSX El Capitan

Any ideas?
