hashrate going down

So I've been using XMR-Stak-CPU for a couple of days at 120 h/s, but I modified the config file and now it is down to 40 h/s. I've tried changing the CPU threads config, but the max hash rate is still 50 hashes no matter what I do. Anyone know what's going on

  • What did you change in the config.txt? You could just start over with a fresh copy. Or post the config.txt here and the output of

    sysctl -n hw.ncpu

    in Terminal which counts the number of cores in your machine.

  • You have it set up to use only your second CPU core:

    Hence 1/4 the hash rate.

    Would double it by using the first as well. A fresh download/config file would suggest the ideal config for all cores on the first run.
